Start 'em while they're young, part two

As you all know, Mike and I love to hike. And once baby #2 enters the world and this baby mama can get back in shape, we plan to do lots of it with our girls. For someone who doesn't really like to exercise, hiking is the best form of it - seeing God's beauty and pushing yourself to new heights (pun intended), you don't even realize you're exercising!

Last weekend we broke in our fabulous Kelty backpack, a gift from Amelia's Tio Brian. This was at least Amelia's third hike, but her first out of the Bjorn, and she LOVED it.

We were accompanying my parents and aunt and uncle for the beginning of their hike to Hike Inn. My sister and her fiance also joined us all.


Here's Amelia when she first got in the backpack. At first she was way more interested in all the straps she had to suck on than anything else.




Now she's getting into it.


The best feature of this pack - a mirror so Mike can check her out!

Amelia giggled, talked and laughed the whole time! She had so much fun!
