The pictures in my mind

Going through some papers tonight, I ran across a letter a sweet woman wrote to encourage me when we found out we were pregnant with Lily and were terrified beyond belief. I couldn't imagine carrying a baby while I still had one, being sick for another nine months, and then how could we afford (time or energy) having two babies at once?? The words of her letter to me have come true, and as I look at this picture of these two sisters who so dearly love each other, I'm so very glad that I'm not in charge.

I posted that on Facebook a few weeks ago, and thought of it again as I was going through our most recent photos.

There are so many scenes (so many not even captured on camera) that I pray will be forever etched in my mind... pictures of little girls at play together...

Pictures of little girls getting ready for bed and giggling into the wee hours of the night...

And pictures of just those moments where you aren't doing anything in particular... just livin'...

I could not be more grateful for our sweet little family.

Awww, such sweet pictures. And I agree that it's just good that we're not in charge! There's nothing like having a sister.

This is precious! You made it through the baby phase, now on to the next phase, yes? You are stronger than you know :)

Love your family and thankful that Amelia has Lily and Lily has Amelia. They will be best of friends!
